it to these lists in the first place? Come listen to the secrets, straight
from the horse's mouth!
Date: November 15, 2014 (Saturday)
Venue: Koramangala Club, Koramangala, Bengaluru
Schedule: 6:30 PM onwards
Dear IIT Alumnus,
Our November event in the monthly talk-cum-networking series (3rd Saturday
evenings) would feature Dr. Balaram P who recently retired as the director
of IISc. He is also an IIT alumnus from Kanpur. He would be raising the
somewhat sensitive but crucial topic of IIT Rankings.
Do you wonder why we generally rank poorly in international rankings? And
what is your view on making it better? Is it about all about research? Or is
there more to it - Faculty? Infrastructure? Broader set of disciplines like
a big university? Something else?
Come join us at Koramangala Club on Saturday Nov 15 evening to listen and
discuss these and any other perspective that you have on the subject,
directly with Dr Balaram who has seen all this up-close during his long
As usual, the event is free to IITACB members (including snacks, soft drinks and dinner). All others pay Rs 300.
