IIT Alumni Centre Bengaluru (IITACB) presents another opportunity for you to engage on another relevant topic of wide interest, Elementary Education. And our speaker this time is IITB distinguished alum Ashok Kamath, an active hands-on pioneer in this all-important development domain!

Our monthly networking event brings together IIT Alumni from all the IITs and offers a great opportunity for networking and connecting with other IITians. We welcome alumni of all the IITs and batches to join us for an informal evening that features a talk followed by networking over beverages and dinner.

Dinner: 830pm onwards

Our speaker for the evening Ashok Kamath has been contributing to elementary education through the Akshara Foundation that aims to see “every child in school and learning well”. He has been the Managing Trustee since 2003 and Chairman since July 1, 2008. He has been actively involved in the strategic planning, analysis and expansion of programmes at Akshara Foundation since 2003. An alumnus of IIT-Bombay, he was formerly the Managing Director of the Indian operations of Analog Devices. He opted to leave behind a successful career in the corporate sector and involve himself in the development sector. His alma mater, IIT-Bombay, presented him with its Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2013 for his various initiatives and contributions to the field of child education. Ashok is also a co-founder and trustee of Pratham Books which aims to have A Book in Every Child’s Hand.
