Challenges with e-mobility in India and how Al-air batteries can help
Range anxiety and inadequate charging infrastructure are universal problems that have led to slow adoption of electric vehicles across the globe. Issues of non-availability of raw materials and indigenous manufacturing make it even more challenging for India to aim for mass electrification of vehicles. To address these challenges, Log 9 Materials has made Aluminium and Water the new fuel to increase the range to 1000KM.

About Log 9 Materials
Log9 is a nanotechnology startup unleashing the benefits of Graphene for Clean Energy and Filtration. An IIT Roorkee spinoff founded in 2015, it is the first startup to be incubated by IIT Roorkee in its business incubator TIDES. With a team of 19 people comprising of Industry veterans, academic experts and entrepreneurs, Log9 boasts of a strong intellectual property portfolio of 17 patents.

Speaker’s Profile
Dr. Akshay Singhal graduated in Materials Engineering from IIT Roorkee in 2015 and is working on his PhD in Nan-technology from IITR.
